The Tagalongs is a visually-driven picture book that takes young readers on a whimsical journey through the forest, subtly exploring themes of solitude, friendship, and personal growth.

The Tagalongs tells the fun and playful story of Julia’s unexpected adventure on a hike to Pancake Peak. As Julia meets, and avoids, and ultimately teams up with an unusual pack of animal friends, the book explores themes of independence, self-reliance, and the enjoyment of the great outdoors. It also highlights the value of diverse strengths, helping strangers, sharing what we have, and including others.
